There is a long story about this picture and here it is.        The writing above is on the reverse of the picture.

Gary Maness was going through his Grandmothers things that had been in storage for 40 years and ran across this picture of me and Eva. This picture was taken around May 12, 1953 as indicated above. The information on the reverse of the picture was written by my mother. Evidently she gave this picture to Gary's grandmother around the time it was taken. Gary's grandmother is Louisa Crusenberry Maness, who happens to be my father's sister. Although, I had never met Gary until August 14, 2004, his father, Bill Maness and I used to play together, along with other brothers and cousins up and down those hills near Stone Creek, Lee County, VA. Eva and I were married on February 2, 1953, so you can see this picture was taken shortly after we were married. Don't we look like newly weds? Mother was right, it was taken at Norris Dam, Tennessee, not too far from Knoxville.
